The event was an opportunity for charities and community groups, as well as health services, to showcase their work to residents, recruit more volunteers, and network and build relationships with one another.
The fair was organised by Broxbourne Council in partnership with Communities 1st and Broxbourne Alliance Primary Care Network.
Among the groups present on the day were Age Concern, the Alzheimer’s Society, Carers in Herts, the Broxbourne Alliance Primary Care Network, Isabel Hospice, Caudwell Youth, Long Live Better in Hertfordshire, Reach Out Hertfordshire and Hoddesdon Rotary Club.
As well as the stalls, visitors had the opportunity to have their blood pressure checked and their height and weight measured. The event was the third of its kind this year and was a further example of the benefits of local organisations coming together to benefit the community.
