The council wants to hear from as many people living in the county as possible, to help it run and improve the services it provides to the public such as:
- supporting children and young people
- caring for adults
- maintaining the county’s roads
- managing 500,000 tonnes of waste each year and maintaining footpaths, bridleways, byways, rivers and woodlands
- helping people to lead a healthy lifestyle and reduce their risk of long-term illness
- protecting communities through its Fire and Rescue service and Trading Standards
- providing community services such as Fire and Rescue, Trading Standards, libraries and registration services.
By completing the online survey, which launched earlier this month, participants will help the council understand what is most important to residents and how best it can meet these priorities in the future.
The survey is open to anyone living in Hertfordshire, and closes at 11.45pm on 15 September. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
Residents who need a paper copy of the survey can contact the council’s customer service centre on 0300 123 4040 to request one, along with a return prepaid envelope.
For more information, and to take part in the survey, visit the Hertfordshire County Council website.
