Information:
The spring programme of COVID-19 vaccinations will begin on 1 April 2025 and continue until 17 June 2025.
The following eligible groups who are at increased risk of serious illness if they catch the virus:
- adults aged 75 years and over
- residents living in a care home for older adults
- individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, as defined in the immunosuppressed sections of tables 3 and 4 from the COVID-19: green book, chapter 14a (pages 24 -26).
This includes: people undergoing some chemotherapy and radiotherapy; transplant recipients, people with HIV; people with genetic conditions or who take medicines that supress their immune system long-term; people who have experienced blood cancers, plus some other specific groups. Please check the ‘green book’ for a full list.
Those turning 75 before 17 June do not have to wait until their birthday has passed to have their spring vaccination. They can have one at any point from 1 April 2025.
No other cohorts are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccinations in the spring programme.
